Sequential is a simple tile-memory game. This page explains what information the game collects and why.
When you finish a game, Sequential submits your result to a public leaderboard: the board size you played, how many misses you had, the mode (numbers or letters), and an optional display name you can type in yourself. If you don't enter a name, it's stored as "Anonymous."
That's it. We don't collect your real name, email address, location, contacts, or any device identifiers. There is no account system and no sign-in — nothing you enter is tied to your identity.
Leaderboard data is stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). Google's own privacy practices for Firebase apply to how that infrastructure handles data in transit and at rest. We don't sell or share this data with anyone else.
Your session stats, best scores, and settings (like sound on/off, your chosen sound theme, your last-used board size, and an optional self-reported age range used to turn a bonus-guess feature on or off) are saved locally on your device using standard browser storage. This never leaves your device and isn't sent anywhere — it's not included in leaderboard submissions or anything else the game sends out.
The game includes a one-time "watch an ad for a rescue guess" feature, served by Google AdMob. When you choose to watch a rescue ad, AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers (such as your device's advertising ID) and ad interaction data to select and measure the ad. On iOS, you'll be asked for permission before this happens via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; declining still lets you watch the ad, it's just less targeted. This data goes to Google, not to us — we don't receive or store any of it. See Google's ad privacy policy for details on how AdMob handles this data.
Sequential doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Since there's no account system and the only optional inputs are a self-chosen display name and a self-reported age range, there's nothing to collect that identifies a specific person.
The age range setting (Under 13 / 13–17 / 18+) isn't verified — it's just a local preference a player can set to turn a bonus-guess feature on for younger players. It stays on the device and is never transmitted, sold, or shared.
If what the game collects changes (for example, when a real ad network is added), this page will be updated to reflect that.
